ELYRIA — The Community Foundation of Lorain County announced the largest single grant in its history Wednesday with $1 million for the Mental Health, Addiction and Recovery Services Board of Lorain County.
The grant was announced by Community Foundation President and CEO Cindy Andrews at the organization’s annual meeting at Elyria High School’s Performing Arts Center.
“A $1 million grant to support the MHARS Board, to support the work of the crisis continuum of care in Lorain County. Working directly with MHARS, The Nord Center and The LCADA Way, along with other community partners, we will have a single point of access to care for those most vulnerable in our communities. This million dollars will make a difference in Lorain County as a substantial funding component of the new crisis Continuum of Care Center,” Andrews said.
